ANNOUNCES SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF SAS 70 II CERTIFICATION
CJW, a third-party administrator for property and casualty claims that provides nationwide claims service for domestic insurance carriers, Lloyd’s syndicates and brokers, has successfully completed a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II audit. SAS 70 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Insititute of Certified Public Accountants, which sets standards for auditors to use in order to fairly and objectively assess the internal controls of service organizations. The audit provides a validation and assurance that CJW employs uniform and reliable operational controls to safeguard the data of its clients.
CJW’s SAS 70 audit considered a broad number of business processes including contract setup, claims setup, claims processing, reserves, claims payments, client billing, recoveries as well as information technology processes including physical security, logical security, change management and computer operations.
Achieving SAS 70 Type II certification validates CJW’s dedication to providing the highest standards of service and value to its clients. Certification gives its clients confidence that CJW is providing a high level of service to help them meet the stringent compliance requirements and other legal and regulatory standards.
