CJW is not a catastrophe company by definition. We are a full service Independent Adjusting Company with branch offices located in Florida, Georgia and Texas. With many of our branch offices located in coastal areas with hurricane exposure and others in states known to be active tornado and hail producing areas, we will always need catastrophe adjusters to work with us.
Our involvement in catastrophes is well known by most adjusters. Our association with catastrophe adjusters began with the 1982 Sanford, Florida hailstorm which hit a couple of months after our company was formed, and we have been teaming with catastrophe adjusters regularly ever since.
With our entry into the TPA arena over the last 10 years, our exposure to catastrophe events is now nationwide. With our TPA agreements, we now have commitments for catastrophe assignments in all of the storm producing areas of the US, which includes a major earthquake commitment in California. We would also have significant involvement if a hurricane should hit the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, or the Bahamas.
